29: Installed packages

E2901

An installed package built by a newer ShapeScript. The build backend records in each folder of a wheel the compiler that built its .ss files, and this compiler’s major or minor version is older, so the package may use language it doesn’t know.

$ shapescript check main.ss
error[E2901]: `shapes_extra/layers.ss` needs a newer ShapeScript than this one

  = note: its package was built with ShapeScript 0.5.0, whose language may have what this compiler doesn't know (`shapescript --version` shows its version)

Upgrade ShapeScript where the package is used, pip install -U shapescript, or install an older version of the package. See Packages.
